Please join us Thursday, Sept. 28 at the Birmingham office of alum Christina McKenna. We'll not only enjoy a social gathering but Christina will share some tips for great communication — from how to make a toast on the fly to what it takes to nail a job interview.

Christina, founder and president Bluestone Executive Communications, earned her master’s degree from Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism in 1990. A Detroit native, she spent 12 years as a TV reporter and anchor in Boston, Seattle and Detroit, covering politicians, business leaders and celebrities as they confronted challenges in the glare of the public eye.

She then moved to the other side of the microphone, as spokesperson for Fortune 500 Boston Edison, where she helped the company navigate a series of high-profile crises. She also spent two years as full time faculty at Boston's Suffolk University teaching writing.

Today a frequent keynote speaker, Christina draws on those years of experiences to advise and coach major corporate and community leaders to deliver pitch-perfect communication when it matters most. Clients include Little Caesars, GM, Honeywell, Lear Corp, Hitachi, Shinola and Lowe’s.

As Bluestone continues to grow, so does their offerings, including virtual presentation skills; keynote speech writing and coaching; crisis communication; debate prep; employment interview prep; media training and TED talk preparation.
