Enjoy a Social Hour and Fall in Michigan with Friends
After a year of virtual gatherings and missing friends, the Columbia Alumni Association of Michigan and the Detroit Press Club are inviting you to Ferndale Project, a popular craft brewery in Ferndale, Michigan, to enjoy a social hour and savor a mid-fall day in Michigan.
The Press Club and Columbia alums partnered successfully with our Media in the Minefield panel discussion about fake news. We expect to capture some of that same synergy in this relaxed patio setting under a tented canopy compliant with coronavirus protocols.
Together our groups can celebrate the recent naming of journalists Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov as winners of the Nobel Peace Prize for their defense of freedom of expression in the Philippines and Russia.
Complimentary light snacks will be provided. Drinks are available for purchase from the brewery bar, where masks are requested. An experimental arm of Eastern Market Brewing Co., Ferndale Project at 567 Livernois has its own craft brews as well as other beers, wine, and soft drinks.
There is no charge for this event, but you must pre-register to attend.
