An Evening with Dr. Katherine Freese, author of The Cosmic Cocktail

Please join us November 25 for a special evening with Dr. Katherine Freese. She'll discuss and sign copies of her new book, The Cosmic Cocktail: Three Parts Dark Matter (we will have some available for sale for $22, the same price as on Amazon.com).

Dr. Freese is the George E. Uhlenbeck Professor of Physics at the University of Michigan and one of the world’s leading researchers into the mystery of dark matter. 

Currently in a three-year position as Director of Nordita, the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the Nordic countries in Stockholm, Freese holds a BA in Physics from Princeton University (as far as she knows, she was the second woman to major in Physics at Princeton); an MA in Physics in 1981 from Columbia University; and a PhD in Physics in 1984 from the University of Chicago.

The event is open to Columbia alums and guests and members of other All-Ivy alumni clubs. Following the lecture we'll enjoy networking and socializing with hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar at the VisTaTech Center of Schoolcraft College in Livonia, MI.

Time: 6pm (registration) 6:30pm program, 7:15pm book signing, networking, appetizers, cash bar.
