Thanks to all who joined us for our White Party September 23 as part of Columbia Connects 2014.
Special thanks to our featured speaker, Bill Massie, architect-in-residence at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, who earned his Master of Architecture at Columbia University. He also owns the Wessen Lawn Tennis Club in Pontiac where guests got a chance to try out the lawn courts just prior to the event.
Guests wore white in the tennis tradition and got a tour of the elegant but low-key club. After drinks and appetizers, mixing and mingling, guests gathered to hear as Massie shared some career highlights, including winning the prestigious Arts and Letters Award in Architecture from the American Academy of Arts and Letters in 2011, and memories of his days at Columbia.
